Triathlon Training

Develop a solid base of endurance training so you are prepared for your first race! This 8 week training class is designed to help first-time triathletes master the three triathlon sports – SWIM/BIKE/RUN – and learn to transition between each. Instructed by our very own Cheryl Scigousky, a certified USA Triathlon coach for 15 years. 

At the end of this 8 week class, you will put your new and improved skills to the test in a mini-triathlon RIGHT HERE AT HEALTHTRACK SPORTS WELLNESS!

Intro to Adult Karate

Newcomers welcome in this Introductory Karate Class!

Participants will receive instruction in Shuri-ryu, a traditional form of Okinawan karate. This style of martial art is one of the most complete self-defense systems in existence. Students will be taught proper punching, kicking and striking techniques in addition to basic grappling. No experience is necessary to participate in the program. The benefits include learning self-defense & self-discipline, heightening your level of awareness, improving your coordination, increasing your strength & power and enjoying a great workout. All classes will be taught by Chris Schoebel, a 25-year student of Okinawan Shuri-ryu and chief instructor at Linder’s Karate in Berkeley, IL. Mr. Schoebel has extensive knowledge in both the striking and grappling arts and has studied under Sensei Carl Linder for the past 20 years. He is also a former student of Aikido under the instruction of Sensei Fumio Toyoda. Contact Chris Schoebel at 942-9600 extension 629 for more information.

Adult GreatBase Tennis

Learn the fundamentals of the 7 basic tennis strokes. Sound technique is the key to avoiding injury and playing better tennis. Whether you are new to tennis, recovering from injury, or just want to improve your strokes, this technical, step-by-step class will get you started! The instructors for GreatBase Tennis are David Warren and Jay Huffer.

Circuit Zone

Try Circuit Zone! Challenge yourself with treadmills, rowing and weights. Class is led by Personal Trainers. Class is first come, first serve with a maximum of 12. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Sign up at the Fitness Desk on the iPad. FREE

100 Mile Swim

Join our 100-Mile Swim Club It’s easy to sign up! Simply keep track of the laps you swim during each workout and record your yardage/mileage in the 100 mile swim binder located outside the aquatics office. The mileage tracking will be maintained and updated weekly!

When does the challenge start? January 1 – December 31st, 2019
How many lengths is a mile? 
Length = One end of the pool to the other (25 yards)
Lap = Down & Back (50 yards)
70 Lengths or 35 laps = 1,760 yards

Can I walk and have it count as a length of the pool?
Yes! Anyway you go up and down the pool will count as a lap, so you can swim, kick, pull, walk, jump, anything that you are comfortable with. Just have to make sure that you make it from one end of the pool all the way to the other end.

Spar Fit

Tired of the same old workout? Come jump rope, lift weights and hit heavy bags for an awesome workout. This class is an intense workout that will challenge every muscle in your body, blow by blow.

Adult Tennis Lessons

Tennis truly is a great lifetime sport. Do you feel it’s time to get started? Have you already played some and need to refine or rediscover your game? Are you looking for a great workout? We have the perfect beginner and advanced noontime program for you. You must be 18 or older to register for an adult class. Minimum registration for all adult classes is three. Participants are taught by the HealthTrack tennis staff. We offer an Adult Beginner Tennis Class and an Adult Advanced Beginner.
