 Junior Tennis

All ages and ability levels are welcome. The tennis staff at HealthTrack Sports Wellness will ensure that your child is placed in the appropriate group based on their skill level. Lessons will focus on technical dynamics, physical fitness, strategy, and at the higher levels, match play. Most of all, we want the juniors to have fun and learn the best sport of a lifetime. The minimum for each class to run is five.

Quick Start
Age 4-7
This is a specialized class developed by the USTA that emulates some highly successful foreign junior development training procedures. Juniors start out on a modified tennis court wit a four-tiered tennis ball arrangment. Early success at being able to rally a tennis ball is the key to this class.

Smashers 4
Ages 5-8
This is a fun introduction to tennis. It is intended to create a love of the game. Basic strokes and hand eye coordination are emphasized. This class uses the full length of the tennis court.

Ages 7-10
The love of the game is taken to the next step. Fun and games further develop the ground strokes and hand eye coordination. This class also introduces the serve and volley as well as putting more focus on proper footwork.

Futures
Ages 9-13
This class operates with two levels-of-play in mind. First, the beginners and
advanced beginners will be placed together for fast-tracked instructional work.
Second, the intermediate students who have developed into players and are able to
rally a tennis ball will work together. This player can now get a
high percentage of their shots in the court, as well as get most serves in.
Desire to compete against others should be taking hold.

Challengers
Ages 10-13
All players at this level need to be intermediates and higher. Half the class time
will be devoted to instruction and developmental drills. The other half of the
class time will focus on actual match play or competitive match play drills.

Teen Beginner
Ages 13-17
Beginners in this age group are often sensitive about starting a new sport.
This is why we offer a class for the teenager to begin with othersin the same
age range. This class works faster than other beginner classes because of the
teenager's ability to grasp and implement concepts faster tha
other our other age categories.

For all high school players, Freshman thru JV. Work on stroke production and strategy.

ATP ELITE^
Top court varsity tennis players.
Intense drills and competition. Plays USTA Tournaments. Invitation only.
WEDNESDAY: 6:30 -8:30pm & SUNDAY: 5 - 7 pm

^High School Tennis: All ATP classes use an "8 Pack Punch Card" which must be purchased. Premier Members are $320. Health Club & Non Members are
