GYROKINESIS®

Gyrokinesis®, originally called “Yoga for Dancers”, forms the core of Juliu Horvath’s
methodology.  Gyrokinesis® exercises work the entire body through a series of spinal motions that mobilize the spine and pelvis through arching, curling, bending, twisting and spiraling. These rhythmic and undulating movement patterns are repeated on other areas of the body to release the joints of the arms and legs in all possible directions.  Fluidity is key to these movements.  Gyrokinesis® classes are designed for all levels of fitness. 

Gyrokinesis® exercises sculpt the body, develops greater mobility in the spine and joints, strengthens and tones the abdominal muscles, improves balance, coordination and neuromuscular control and increases stamina with minimal impact to the joints.  The continuous and harmonious exercises are performed on 16 or 20 inch stools and a mat.    Gyrokinesis® motions maximize the flow of energy through the body leaving you feeling energized, balanced and in control.
