Group Fitness Class Descriptions
- Aqua Zumba
Zumba choreography and aquatic exercise come together to create a refreshing workout. Splash your way into shape with low impact exercise!
- Athletic Conditioning
Designed to be an ultimate cross-training workout, this class combines movements from various sports, boot camp drills, and muscle conditioning to improve cardio and muscular endurance and agility.
This is a fusion-style conditioning class, designed specifically for the non-dancer, blending training techniques from dance, pilates and fitness.
- Barre Burn
In this class, kickboxing meets the ballet bar, with thirty minutes of cardio and thirty minutes of Barre work.
Come meet in the Spin Studio for a fun spin to run class with Cheryl S, our Triathlon star. All levels welcome.
- Body Rolling
Participants use foam rollers and body rolling balls to stretch muscles, dislodge tension and discomfort, increase blood flow and promote healing. This is not an exercise class, but a self-care class!
- Boxing Circuits
Boxing circuits are set up in the studio to offer participants variety and using easy to follow boxing drills. This 60 minute class will give you a great cardio and strength workout!
- Cardio Boxing
Choreographed boxing segments are mixed in with jump rope intervals, plyometrics and isometrics for a boxing class guaranteed to make you sweat!
- Cardio Core
A variety of cardio formats will be used for a lengthy cardio segment followed by a complete core workout.
- Cardio Strength
A total body workout consisting of alternating segments of strength based cardio & specific strength training exercises.
- Chair Fitness
Chairs are used as a prop for standing balance and strength exercises as well as seated exercises to strengthen arms & legs. A variety of strength training equipment will be used.
- Core Flow
This class takes you through a series of exercise progressions to improve core strength and stability as well as balance and flexibility. The Bosu trainer will be used along with other studio equipment.
- Core Synergy
30 minutes packed with strength and stability exercises for the abdominals and back. This class is a great way to target the core muscles with challenges for all levels. No regular crunches here!
- Dance Jam
A little Zumba, a little hip hop, a lot of fun!
- Express Train
No coffee clutch here! This boot camp-style class will challenge your cardiovascular fitness, strength, and core with HIT style training. Not for the faint of heart.
- Family Yoga
Bring your entire family (ages 5 and up) to yoga and practice together! Enjoy the physical, emotional and social benefits that are derived through
individual and partner poses while connecting with your family in a fun and creative environment.
- Having A Ball
Looking for something a little out of the ordinary? Come try this class. Utilizing the Resist-A-Ball, tubing and weights, this class is sure to tone up every muscle in your body.
- Interval Training Express
Alternating segments of cardio and strength to give you the best of both formats in 30 minutes!
- Multiple Step
1, 2,3, or 4 steps may be used in this unique class! Easy to follow choreography patterns move you from one step to another. Challenging and fun!
- O.A.S.I.S. Aerobics
This class is designed with older adults in mind. It will incorporate simple moves to improve overall health. Oasis classes now include oasis pilates and oasis yoga.
Shift your workout into overdrive! Overdrive is a high-intensity interval training class that pushes you to the max. This workout features all out work efforts, mixing it
up between weights and cardio with very little recovery time.
- Pilates Mat Fusion
This is a blend of introductory to advanced mat-based training. Challenges include alternating breath rhythms, modification of exercises and flow. This class will incorporate the use of foam rollers, balls, bands, circles and weighted toning balls. Previous Pilates experience recommended.
- Pilates One
Easy to follow class for beginners as well as current students. This class will strengthen and lengthen you while learning the basics of Pilates!
- Pilates Plus
Define your abs, strengthen your back, and improve your posture. Challenge your core as you balance, strengthen and stabilize with powerful and efficient abdominal and pilates exercises.
- Power Yoga
Class will move at a faster pace and will incorporate some “power” moves that are sure to challenge the more advanced.
Come prepared to go on an hour-long journey focusing on muscular endurance, muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance, and cardiovascular strength! Bike availability is on a first come, first serve basis. Water bottles and heart rate monitors are strongly encouraged.
- Step Express
Thirty minutes of cardio on the step.
Total body conditioning using a variety of strength equipment and a focused core workout for a leaner, stronger body.
- Strictly Tabata
Also known as “High Intensity Interval Training”, this specific interval training format will boost metabolism and maximize results.
- Super Sculpt
This low-impact weighted class that uses hand weights, body bars and more to strengthen and tone your muscles.
- The Formula
This multi-level class will effectively strengthen, tone and lengthen the entire body through the pilates method, high reps and small movements. Light weights
are used to achieve a chiseled upper body while the matwork targets the legs, glutes, abdominals and pelvic floor. This class is sure to improve posture and create definition.
- Total Body Workout
By utilizing hand weights, tubing, and body bars, our qualified instructors will take you through an intense full-body strength training workout that is sure
to offer a lot of variety.
- Water Works
This challenging water workout provides the ultimate in cardiovascular and muscle conditioning. A variety of unique movements are used to work all major muscle groups. Aquatic equipment will be incorporated.
- Yoga I
This class provides an overview of basic yoga techniques. Breathing, poses, and deep relaxation are practiced.
- Yoga I/II
Bring balance to both your mind and body through effort complimented by relaxation. Proper breathing and stretching techniques make this class a great stress reducer and energy booster.
- Yoga II
Take your Yoga practice to the next level. Challenge your body to learn more advanced poses. Give it a try!
- Yoga Integrated Strength
Yoga postures, bodyweight strength moves, isometrics and core work blend with deep flexibility and mental focus, make this class ideal for those looking to improve functionally for sport or daily living. Emphasis is on proper body alignment. All levels welcome.
